I have watched The Monster. A horror indie film. A mother and daughter are the protagonists. The relationship between them is fractured. She would be labelled a bad mother. The daughter will going to stay with her father. They're in for a long road trip. There are flashbacks which are unnecessary. They do come off as annoying and useless in some parts.
